Why This Must Be Read: This story affected me on so many levels. It's an adult story with adult characters. Harry and Ron are also in the story, and I particularly enjoyed how the author portrayed the Golden Trio's adult friendships -- and how Draco eventually fit into them. They all have so much history together, and Buzzy did such an excellent job of illustrating how they got to where they are by the end of the story.
Buzzy touched on so many issues with grace and sensitivity--Hermione's desire for sex, corruption in the ministry, Draco's guilt around his first sexual encounter with Hermione, Hermione's fear that her looks weren't good enough for Draco, parents' love for their children and how that can drive so much of what they do, etc. Nothing felt heavy-handed or preachy; she simply wrote the characters as if they're real people, with real, honest fears, desires, and insecurities.
