Why This Must Be Read: REGENCY AU!!!!! I love how the author has adapted the characters and story in this setting, and they way they build Judy and Nick's relationship. A romantic complication in the form of Gideon Gray shows up, but the love triangle is well handled I believe. I adored this little AU.

Why This Must Be Read: This is another of the heavier stories I'm reccing. Nick and Judy are investigating the murder of an arctic wolf, who was active in a political group campaigning for the acceptance of cross-species relationships, which are considered taboo in Zootopia. Naturally, this is relevant to Nick and Judy's relationship, and in between the murder investigation and a tense political environment, Nick and Judy have to figure out what to do about their feelings for one another. This fanfic does for the political debate about LGBTQ+ relationships and conversion therapies as Zootopia does for political discussions of racism and systematic prejudice.
