Why This Must Be Read: This was an absolute amazing find. I was trolling delicious for some Nine/Rose and stumbled into this. Something I didn't even know I ever wanted to read. This is a completely compelling retelling (literally!) of season 1-2 of Doctor Who that's masterfully inserted into the Fables universe during the "March of the Wooden Soldiers" arc. Basically, this is pieces of established canon with a really fun and interesting Ten and Donna adventure painted over top. I love Donna and Rose and even the Sultan. Actually, the Sultan's story and his evolution is one of the best parts of the story, I feel. It's a new story blooming among the retellings and all the more interesting for it. To wit: READ IT, IT'S GREAT!
