Why This Must Be Read: I'm a Marvel, not a DC, so this is not a fandom that I usually would read, but I'd seen it recced elsewhere and was so intriguing that I clicked. I really like Diana in this fic: she's practical without being boring, competent without being arrogant, and funny without being silly. If this is what Diana is like in canon, I really should read (and watch) more DC. Despite not knowing all the canon, even I know that the man who originally designed and wrote Wonder Woman back in the early 1940s was a polygamous psychologist into BDSM. Due to this, canon!Diana lost her powers when she was bound by a man. (Right?) This fic's Diana is way too pragmatic not to try to overcome this weakness, so she asks Batman for lessons in escape. All that, plus eventual Diana/Bruce, and competent yet likeable female paired with intense, uptight man is My Thing.
