Why This Must Be Read: I feel like the author was fulfilling a giftfic for me (even though she wasn't). With this new season, I felt the chemistry between Karen and Frank to be strange and slight, but I wanted something more out of it and this story really breathes life into that need and expands upon it beautifully. The characterizations are fantastic, and the tone and pacing is just perfect and really rounds out their interactions well in so few words.
