Why This Must Be Read: God, I love this story and its little universe SO MUCH. This is a fix-it AU wherein Peggy was pregnant when Steve went down in the ice. I love the way roboticonography writes Peggy--they get her voice so right--and I kind of love how instead of the cherubic, adorable baby you usually expect with babyfic, baby Steven turns out to be the fussiest, most disgruntled infant that ever lived. It makes for a nice change of pace. :P But there's still plenty of trope-y fluffiness to be had in this story--the reunion between Peggy and Steve, and the revelation that Steve is a father is just...ahhhhhhhh, so many feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels. ;__; The author also has a bunch of ficlets and fanart set in this universe on their tumblr.

Why This Must Be Read: I have a soft spot the size of the moon for the idea of Steve Rogers, besotted father of a baby girl. I mean, Steve Rogers and babies in general is my jam, but Steve Rogers holding a TEENY TINY BABY GIRL IN HIS ARMS IS MY KRYPTONITE. Which is why this universe, and especially that first little story, DESTROYED me emotionally because it is completely and utterly everything I ever want in Steve Rogers babyfic. Why This Must Be Read: The character voices in this story are so on point. The Pepper and Tony banter, in particular, shines and you can just imagine RDJ and Gwyneth Paltrow delivering these lines rapid fire on screen. There's also some really lovely team feels and Natasha and Bruce's reaction to the baby are especially affecting.

Why This Must Be Read: This is actually "Darcy and Steve babysit the Thor baby" fic, which I think still counts as babyfic?? Just not what you'd typically expect?? IN ANY CASE, it is delightful and hilarious as hell. Thor has separation anxiety, Jane needs a break, Darcy is utterly irreverent, Steve has gotten them WAY in over their heads, and Bucky??? Bucky has never seen two losers so incapable of caring for a baby. This was so much fun.

Why This Must Be Read: So I live-beta'd this as it was being written so I miiiiiight be a little biased, but I really love this story, even if Christmas has already passed. A heavily pregnant Darcy desperately wants to get home for the holidays, but the weather is not cooperating and the doctors won't let her fly. Cue good guy Steve offering to drive her despite the forecast of snow. This is a lovely little story, with fun little references and puns (you'll recognize them when you see them), some hallmark pregnancy trope moments, and some sweet, light shippiness.

Why This Must Be Read: I don't even have the words to do justice to this story. It is phenomenal. It is such a fantastic character study of Melinda--we get to see her really struggle with the idea of pregnancy and motherhood, whether she thinks she's cut out for it, what it would mean for her life. We get such fantastic insight to her relationship with her mother, and how that informs her as a person and the way she approaches her own pregnancy. Her relationships with all her other teammates, especially Skye, are fleshed out beautifully. And of course, her relationship with Phil, the father of her child, is wonderful, and messy, and joyous, and complicated. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Why This Must Be Read: Omggg, this story! I love Phil and Melinda's voices in this. I love the relationships and the interactions Melinda has with Skye and Jemma. The conflict is so believable, and while unintentional miscommunication can be an infuriating trope, you can sympathize with Coulson's good intentions (HE JUST WANTS TO BE RESPECTFUL OF MAY'S DECISIONS). I love how well May and Coulson know each other and I also love that despite the conflict and the angst, there are still moments of humor. The second chapter, the epilogue, embraces the humor and the fluff wholeheartedly. Just delightful.

Why This Must Be Read: I do not play the games at all, but I was looking for trope fic, read one fic, started watching Youtube videos of the romance storylines, AND NOW HERE I AM. (I have a problem.) This is another story to which I'm afraid I can't do justice. It's an amazing canon divergence AU, and the birth of Hawke's child (the result of the one night she and Fenris spent together) changes the way the entire plot of Dragon Age II plays out. It's got action! It's got political plotting and maneuvering! It's got amazing friendships! It's got adorable baby antics! It's got glorious slow burn, friends to lovers, co-parenting! EVERYONE LIVES! What more could you ask for??

This story is filthy and tender, will get you hot and bothered and break your heart with feels at the same time. Jon and Sansa are both so desperate for love, for family, and it makes sense that they'd want to fill Winterfell with laughter and warmth and an entire pack of children tumbling over each other.
