Why This Must Be Read: This is everything you could want in the Fem!Jim fic, it had me at the first bit.
“James is a boy’s name,” the girls all sneer at her, caught between laughter and disdain. “What kind of girl has a name like James?”
Jamie draws herself up to her full height. At five and a half, it’s not much of a height, but still. “I do,” she declares with a self confidence everyone in the school will be envying by the time she’s ten. “My Dad gave it to me.”
And that is that. So there.
This fic is Jamie from her early childhood, Tarsus, and beyond. At times it is wonderfully bittersweet, and definitely worth the read. Jamie is heartbreakingly broken and this is not a fluffy happy fic, but it is interesting and well written.
I wasn't sure if I should include this, it does have a quick dalliance into the non-het territory, but it is brief and Kirk/Spock is the end pairing. Still, if anyone thinks its not okay for this comm, please say something and I'll replace it.

Why This Must Be Read: Pure fluff. This fic is adorable. OFC fics are often not the best but this renewed my faith in the entire genre. Outside POV, a blind girl meets Dean in high school and, in the sequal, again later in life. It is sweet and a little sad, but mostly sweet. Sequal + more in the same 'verse are also available.

Why This Must Be Read: This was the second Supernatural fanfiction I read (actually I listened to the podfic) and it will forever hold a place in my heart. It is AU after they kill the Yellow Eyed Demon, and Sam is still recovering from the events. He's not all there and a way that both sends shivers down your spine and makes you want to find out what happened to him. A quick stop in a small town leads to a break in traveling for the bays when Dean decides they need to settle down for a little bit.
I have a soft spot for really believable OCs and the ones in this fic are wonderful. Jem especially is great and fits with Sam very well. Jem is a single mother, whose husband died in a nursery fire and her and Sam help to fix each other's broken pieces realistically. Also the sex is incredibly hot, so that's a plus! (One of the things about this fic that i can't seem to forget, is that the author's actually knows what safe sex is! XD)
This fic also has a podfic, nine hours long, so great for long car rides. The mic the reader used to record is fuzzy but i stopped noticing after awhile and have listened to it multiple times.

Lydia knows nothing gold can stay. (Maybe Stiles is silver.)
Lydia and Stiles from the sandbox to werewolves. Its not exactly angst, but its not happy-go-lucky either. Lydia's POV as she thinks on how Stiles has always been there, even with Jackson the the way. Bittersweet and a bit sad, this fic captures Lydia and Stiles very well. Lydia is realistic and Stiles is in character. This fic gave me shivers.

This is pretty slow burn as Sesshoumaru recovers from both mental and physical trauma, but it is worth the wait. Features coma!Sesshoumaru, and well written OCs.
