Heee, thank you! Locke always struck me as the guy who talked a better game than he had, because he's just as much a con man as Setzer is, but the game he actually has is still pretty good and so it works. :)

He didn't bother telling me why he was spying on her office. I assume there's a good explanation he doesn't feel like sharing yet. XD I also like how she's just unfazed by that: "eh, not a real threat to me."

Hehehe, they were still so very Celes and Locke despite the very strange setting. Celes working at a hotel? Hehe, I liked it. Jewel thief Locke...why am I getting Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief vibes from this story? Hehe

I'm usually not a fan of AUs, but this was cute, clever and remained in character despite the change in setting. And the ending made me extremely happy. When I saw the prompt, I figured it to be another virgin!Celes story, but I was delightfully surprised when I got to the end. I always toyed with the possibility myself, so it's nice to see it played out. Any chance for a smutty follow up? :D

Thank you! :) I'm a firm believer that if you can't recognize the characters no matter where they happen to be, then you're doing it wrong. So I struggle to keep everyone IC even in AU's.

I made it my personal mission to overturn *all* the clichés I took for this round, so I was determined not to have virgin!Celes. However, I couldn't make virgin!Locke work in my head in canon, hence AU. :D

As for smutty follow-up....well, we'll see. XD I fail epically at smut.

Nice and in character! This is the first FF6 fic I've read, and so far I'm off to a great start. You don't happen to write Edgar/Celes as well, do you?

*twitches slightly* Er, no. :) I mostly write Celes, either alone or paired with Locke or Leo. I don't get on very well with Edgar, so with one or two rare exceptions, I tend not to write him.
