Can I sign up for the big bang as an individual author, and then to co-write two stories with two different authors for little bang stories? And is it okay if all of those stories feature the same het pairing?
You can definitely sign up for more than one story! Make sure to make a separate comment for each one so that there is no confusion. Same fandom for all your stories is fine, but according to the rules, each story you write should have a different pairing. Makes things interesting, I suppose. :)
With that said, I'm sure it would be okay this time around since it does involve co-writers.
Does the story need to be a continuous plot or can it be a collection of short stories? Say for instance 20 different moments between your main characters?
I've never done a big bang before. Seen them around, but never participated because I've always been really self-conscious of my writing. Decided I wanted to try this time, but I have a few questions.
Say I want to sign up. I read through the FAQs and was wondering if I signed up for one (say big bang) but don't get enough words or feel like the story stops before 25, can I submit a little bang instead? Is that allowed?
Yay!! I'm glad you've decided to give it a try. Big Bangs are a lot of fun! :)
And yes, you can submit a little bang story even if you've signed up for a big bang (and vice versa), but you must make a solid commitment as to whether it's a big or a little bang story by the July check in poll. Most people know by that time where the story is going and about how long it will eventually be, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Hope this helps! And good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing your story in our collection! :D
question: what if in the ten days since I signed my story turned from a little bang into a big bang? As in, I started writing, the writing happened, I had a couple of people cheering me up and with a couple of chapters to go I'm at quota 22.000 words... the question being, to I edit my comment in the original post, as sign-ups are still open, or do I do it at some chek-in?
Dang!! That's fantastic! And I am in awe. :) You really got this!
And to answer your question, that's not a problem! You have until the July check in point to make a solid commitment, and you can definitely do it then. But feel free to change your comment if you'd rather, just please know that any edits made to the comments on the sign up pages after they close will not be picked up.
Congrats on getting in so many words so quickly!!!
Thanks! Even if I have no idea how I did it. One day I was all, "I so want to write this sotry, but I didn't have the gut to put it down until the bang, but it will never be 10k!" and a few days later I was "What does it mean that it counts 20K? I can't have written that much... I mean, it's not like I write all day! And there's still so much to say!" I'll probably wait until the july check-in- just to make sure. Wouldn't loose inspiration at 22k...
