This year I watched A LOT of TV, haha. I would have liked to comment a lot more on them while watching, but c'est la vie.
Which TV shows did you start watching in 2012?Arrow -- not by choice; I think it's a steaming pile of shit but my husband watches it

Yeah, I did marathon it initially -- I'm not sure that I spent all that much time thinking about it during the week between episodes, heh, but it was definitely easier to consume and digest the very short first season as one whole story.
he had the Secret Service haul her out of her apartment at 5:00 a.m.
Oh, yeah, I remember that scene clearly indeed. I was glad Olivia shut him down the way she did but I agree with you -- I'm not confident that in Shondaland it's all that clear that Fitz sucks. I mean, I don't watch any other Shondaland shows but from what I understand and have seen of Scandal, she's very good at the id-appeal and the soapy tropes. But then you get the occasional thing that just steps so far over the line (like the hunting scene and also at least one Mellie/Fitz scene I can recall where he was an absolute dick even above and beyond what her scheming deserved, perhaps in the same ep we're thinking of) that I'm not sure SR is aware there are points of no return along the spectrum.
So there's a lot of gross stuff happening within the Olivia/Fitz dynamic that's not really commented on.
I think this is a good point about the lack of third party commentary. Actually, I did see the one episode with Olivia's ex where he seemed to be aware of her relationship with Fitz -- or maybe I only interpreted it that way and he was really just implying they had an extremely close professional relationship. But I guess he hasn't come back with comments? At the moment I kind of like that Olivia is a strong enough character on her own to resist falling back into a relationship with Fitz (compare Delena on TVD, ugh, and how much hate Caroline is getting for being the outside commentary on that). But I agree that just as a metric of how the show sees the pairing, it's a big gap.
