With respect to International Blog Against Racism Week, the intent is admirable and I appreciate the openness and willingness to talk about issues that seem to make people -- especially white people --

That's the thing -- I do appreciate people talking about this stuff, but sometimes the talk feels so unproductive, and yet I also don't want to be one of those people shutting down the conversation just because it isn't helpful to me, and yet, and yet!

I just think there has to be more for white people to do than sit around feeling guilty.
