Score! Somehow I got two Remixes this year! And they're both so, so excellent -- I feel incredibly lucky. I've already sent raving incoherent feedback to both of the authors, but they deserve more love:

Ok baby, where is the original?? I absolutely adore Ron. I adore/crave Trio-ness. Not everybody CAN or will do it. I hate for Ron to be left out....is that weird?? O.o....*shrugs* Oh well!! I know I'm always a day late and a dollar short with the goings on in fandom, but HELP!! Where is the original?? And do you mind explaining to me what is going on with the remix thingy? *shygrin*

Remix is a fanfic challenge which you can read more about here: http://remixredux.livejournal.com/7256.html -- basically you get assigned an author, and you choose one story of hers to rewrite in your own style, with maybe some minor changes in plot or whatever you need to do to make it your own work. It's pretty awesome. (But it's all anonymous right now, so I can't tell you what I wrote or who I wrote for. (g))

The original story for "North" is here: http://thedoublehelix.org/jintian/north.html -- but I wrote it from Harry's POV. The person who got assigned to me rewrote it from Ron's POV, and did a fantastic job with it, which is why I love it so. :)

There were clearly some excellent Ron-lovers running wild this year, which delights me to no end. I can't do Ron, not with any justice at all, and whoever remixed my trio fic clearly, clearly *can*.

I beta'd (lightly, really) karabair's remix without having read your original; when I did read your story, I was floored all over again. They're now two of my favorite AtS fics.
