recs update
Holy shit. My friends list had a meta explosion in the space of a night. All weekend I was clicking madly on refresh for something to alleviate my boredom, then I log on during lunch today and there are threads floating around with 200 plus comments! Only NOW I don't have time to read anything. Wah.
I made an update to my recs page, here. Shorter than usual, but containing a Harry Potter story which should be read by anyone who thinks the fandom lacks originality.
Around 9:30 this morning, fresh out of the shower, I could not get LJ, Google, or Yahoo to load. I think I can sufficiently express my irrational panic by saying that I went straight to CNN.com and NYTimes.com to see if they were still working, and if so, whether they were reporting the end of the world.
Yes to the first, no to the second. And I thought, "Dammit, there needs to be a status.internet.org or something."
