Happy Thoughts

Well, this is just a simple string of jazz that made for a really nice afternoon, evening, and early morning. I liked it so much that it's been my happy thought for a few days.

So, on Wednesday I went with Ed to my mom's house and swam in her pool. It's relaxing out there, so right away I was in a good mood. For a long while, him and I played a little game that should probably be called "Lets see who can drown the other one first". It was fun, and carried out into several different formats...water guns, a spongy ball that we soaked and threw at each others heads...oh, right, and then we spent a half hour trying to outright dunk each other. I won. I don't care what he says, I won.

Then my mom let us gorge ourselves on sandwiches, chips, triscuts and a wide assortment of junk food delicious. Then she went inside to watch some tv, leaving us alone, and, well....other stuff happened....

All around fantastic.

Then we skipped over to see his family, watched Calendar Girls (which is just plain goddamned hilarious), ate pizza, played with the dog, and ended up coming home pretty late. We just curled up on the couch and watched "Zathura" (which is another one of those movies that I sincerely wish was made when I was a kid), ate some chinese food, popped in Blade Trinity, got halfway through that, and promptly fell asleep on the couch together, exhausted, happy and properly sunburned.

When I woke up, it was several hours later and the movie was long over. Still incredibly exhausted, I flipped the tv off and dragged Ed into my room to sleep in there. The sheets were nice and cool because the window was open. It was really soothing, I could hear all those night noises I love so much.

Apparently, despite our exhaustion, every time we so much as brushed each other in our sleep, we'd end up kissing each other and fooling around, but falling back to sleep before we got to the sex. And that would explain why we went at it like rabbits who just got out of prison at the first light of day. Then, finally, we were up and about, getting ready for the day. We weren't in each others way, we just kept whizzing by each other to get our stuff together. For some reason, I really, really liked how that felt. It seemed something like a choreographed dance.

Anyways, I really loved all of it, and I just wanted to share.
