Summer's End
I almost had a summer this year. As an academic it's one of the perks we look forward to, and yet somehow I managed to commit myself to working just enough to spoil it. I have had enough time to sit around and get really neurotic about some things, but not had enough time to get much done about any of it. For example, we went to CO so I could see my brother and his kids, but we weren't there long enough for me to get to my beloved mountains. There are walls that need painting and a garden in serious need of attention, and the list goes on, as it always does. Classes start 3 weeks from today.
In other news, Hubbin and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary this Friday, bringing the grand total to 11 years. Not bad for a couple of college kids originally just looking for angry/revenge sex. I will also get to see best friend Kejy for Labor Day, and Morgan's Fairy Godfather for my birthday. You know, the one where I get one last gasp of youth before I turn *shudder* 30 *shudder*.
