Nothing to rec so far except maybe "Rare Exports" which is a horror (kinda - its more suspenseful) film from finland/norway about Santa. It was very pretty and was a good watch. I enjoyed it. (trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RQlikX4vvw)
I'd be interested a monthly read if the book was easy enough to get my hands on.
Sorry this took so long! You have a wide range of tastes, which is really cool. Have you ever read The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis? I've only read the first two but they're very good fantasy novels, and they've got a Christian theme to them. They're meant for younger audiences but I've always loved them. On The Road by Jack Kerouac is a good historical fiction piece. His writing is phenomenal and they just made a movie about it as well. As for young adult fantasy, I'm not sure what you mean by original, but the Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr are interesting reads. That's another series I need to finish as well.
I've seen two new movies so far. The Yellow Handkerchief and Keith. The former I would recommend more than the latter. I'm almost done with book #1 City of Lost Souls, but I'm having a hard time finishing it.
1. I'm not doing as much reading as I should be. I didn't make any movie resolution but I think maybe I should because movie-watching seems to be easier as a goal? I'm still thinking about it.
