[The video kicks on and you'll get a rather bemused looking Harley, wrapped in a towel with her hair up in her typical pigtails.]

Sooo .. I know ya all haven't exactly been secretive in the whole dying thing, but I guess ya really don't 'get it' until ya get it, ya know? HAH! I kill me .. well, not literally ..

The only person that she might consider a friend just died. Maia is not a happy camper.

[Harley brightens as Maia pops up, beaming at first and then grimacing at the tone.]

I dunno what its name was, but it was a big blue spider robot thing! I was answerin' a call it put out cause it sounded down an' I'm good for a laugh, ya know! I was just gonna cheer it up a bit and go ta some party or somethin' that it was talkin' about ..

Annnn' .. it sorta happened near Carnival an' as it turns out, it really wasn't too intrested in any kinda party. It knocked me inta the place an' we fought an' I got ta use some of my bombs .. but .. well .. it was just a tiny bit bigger than me an' .. well .. Here I am!

You went to Carnival. [Maia's voice is a deadpan.]

Harley, if it's alright for me to ask, exactly how stupid are you? [Maia may be curious about Carnival and what lies inside it, but she values her life far more. Maia has too much to do with herself in the meantime. She can wait to sate any curiosity she has about a place where she'd be likely to die in.]

[Now that earns a full on pout and Harley crosses her arms and frowns.]

I didn't go inta Carnival! I was in the hallway talkin' about a party an' didn't go nowhere with the intent of what happened! That crazy robot spider shoved me in while we were talkin' an' then proceeded ta beat the crap outta me; an' killed me, I might remind ya!! I ain't about ta go inta that place alone, and certainly not with just some peasley little bombs! I got bigger stuff in here that I'd'a brought with me!

[She huffs, giving her biffle a look.]

I might have moments where I ain't so bright, but I ain't gotta death wish, ya know.

[Maia just...she really isn't in the mood to continue debating this over communicators. So, she sighs before turning on the video setting to her comm - quickly holding up Harley's leotard so she can see it.]

I found this in my shower. [Yeah, not very amused.]

[Harley watches the video click on Maia's communicator and grimaces as she's shown the leotard. There is really no denying that it's hers, as she is likely the only passenger aboard with anything similar. She offers a weak smile that slips as quickly as it came and she just looks upset now. It's got to be a rather strange thing to see the lively give so sober, but the situation isn't particularly as humorous as she might have preferred it to be.]

Should I come there or ya wanna come here?

[Maia's switched the video back off.] I'll come visit. Where are you?

[Harley sighs as the video feeds cuts out again, laughed out for the first time in quite a while. She's managed to botch things pretty soundly and she didn't even mean for it to happen.]

Twelve eighteen .. deck twelve.

[Maia doesn't respond. Instead, she goes to make her way over to Harley's room, leotard slung over her shoulder. There's a single, loud knock at Harley's door before she finally speaks.]

It's Maia.

[Harley answers the door, still dressed in her towel and what looks to be a pair of micro shorts. She wasn't trying to impress anyone, so she really wasn't too concerned one way or the other. She pulls it open and gestures for Maia to come in.]

C'mon in.

[She gestures wide, letting her come and go where she pleases. The room is decorated in a Harley kind of way: hand-drawn art on the walls, water guns and rubber chickens. The kind of stuff you'd expect to find in the rather .. colorful .. young woman's room.]

Make yerself cozy ..

[She had no way of knowing if Maia was going to hang around or not, although she rather preferred she would. She put on a good show of remaining upbeat about everything, but really .. she'd DIED. She'd come close before, but had always pulled through. This time she'd actually DIED.]

Thanks for bringin' that back ..

[Maia just walks inside and stiffly hands Harley her leotard. Sorry, Harley. Maia still doesn't know how to deal with this whole "I-have-friends" thing...and being a comfort to people is relatively new to her, too.]

[Harley accepts the leotard with a rather pouty/grim expression. She knows she's upset Maia, or at least that Maia is upset about her biting the big one, but really it was out of her control. She hadn't wanted to die, after all. However, everyone dealt with these things in their own way, and this was likely Maia's own way. She tosses the leotard onto the bed with her already returned headpiece, knowing she'll need to give it all a wash before she wears 'em again. No knowing what bad mojo they had on 'em after dying.]

I .. ahh .. I'm sorry .. I should'a been more careful ..

[Yeah, it's not your fault, Harley. Maia's way of dealing with grief or sadness is to respond by getting angry at anything and everything, regardless of who happens to be the recipient of said anger.

Still, Harley is her...friend? Acquaintance? Maia still isn't sure, but she knows she doesn't dislike Harley, and that's enough reason for her to try and be a bit more tactful.]

Don't be sorry, it was a situation that was out of your control. [Maia takes a moment to sigh before she folds her arms and glances back at the blonde.] If you get in trouble again, contact me. I'll come find you.

[Is that Maia's way of saying she'll protect you? Why, yes. Yes, it is.]

[Harley looks at her friend as she speaks. She knows well that emotions are Maia's high point and that she's never happy to portray them or act on them. However, she is a living creature and whether or not she wants emotions, she has them. Harley can tell that she is trying and it makes her smile reappear a little bit more and she nods once.]

Yeah, I will, Maia .. I ain't got no plans ta repeat that, believe ya me.

[And then Harley is back to Harley and you'll have to forgive her, Maia, cause she's going to hug you now. She'd never do it outside the cover of one of their rooms, but they're in her room right now, away from prying eyes and she really can't help it. As nuts as the broad is, she still needs that bit of physical contact every now and again.

It's a good squeeze, but she lets Maia go hopefully before she has much chance to struggle away. She has the courtesy to look a bit embarrassed.]

Ahh .. sorry, Maia .. got a bit overzealous there for a sec! [At least she is smiling again.]

[Oh, Precursors, hugs are something that Maia is not used to at all. So she just kind of...stiffens when Harley grabs onto her. Maia does want to get out of the other woman's grip, but part of her knows that probably wouldn't be very appropriate, considering what just happened to her. So, Maia just stays still until Harley finally lets go of her.]

It's...fine. [So uncomfortable right now. SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Maia does not have any friends except for her brother, this sort of thing is completely new to her and it feels more than a bit awkward.]

Anyway, I suppose I should be going.

[Harley made a situation awkward?! Noooooo, say it ain't so! She's actually thrilled Maia neither fights her off or socks her for the hug, having realistically expected either from her biffle. Her smile is slowly returning to normal and she beams, nodding.]

Well, if ya gotta! I mean, if not, I got a dvd player and 'The Sound of Music'. I can pop some popcorn an' we can make a day of it! ♥

[Cue the wide, expectant grin .. if Maia says no, it's cool. She'll still watch the film quite happily.]
