Beethoven is not Christmas carols

I'm back! Did any of you miss me? Hmm... doubtful. You will be happy to hear though, that, despite my headache (what else is new), I'm happy! Yesterday was perfect, this week is even better, and the PMS demon has left my poor, tortured soul to go torment some other adolescent. Isn't that exciting?!

This weekend I was in Manhattan, Nova Yorke. Halfway to the airport I realized I'd forgotten the camera, so no pritty pictures. :o( I'd write about it, but I'm not feeling the flow... One comment, though: I love hotel life. I mean, squishy beds! ::YES::!

So, I got back in at 11 on Tuesday (yay for missing school!). Then Wednesday, in Ratner we watched Siddhartha, then PSAT all day (I LOVE test-taking! Soooo fuN! Miss school, it's always relatively easy, yadda yadda yadda), and we get an extended lunch and I only have to show up to ...
Computers. Oh, twist my arm. Then, Hanson decided he wanted to see what being a god was like, and he gave us free time. I was way excited, except I totally didn't get as much done on Photoshop as I would have expected/liked, with free time and all.

I was only worried about what music was going to do for my mood.

But music was GREAT! Gershfeld was actually SOOO nice. I mean, I still suck, but he wasn't mean about it. He was just very, "You still suck," in a totally NICE way! I still have no clue how I am going to stop sucking, though. Because at this point I actually know the notes, I just sound bad. :o( I don't know how to stop sounding bad.

So, before orchestra Gershfeld and I had a little chat, and it was very refreshing; Alexia, you were right: he seems unapproachable, but he CAN be really helpful. I think maybe I'll talk to him about the, I suck and I don't know what to do about it, sometime.

Sometime during symphony, Gershfeld started singing Music of the Night. I wasn't really paying attention before that, so I didn't know what the reference was, but I got very excited and thought of Elisa, naturally. :oP

Then I had a lesson, which was okay. When I got out, you can imagine my shock and delight when I realized we didn't have school the next day! I didn't know, and someone informed me, and I was like, WHOA! Best day EVER! PSAT, music was good, and NO SCHOOL! Having a day off is so much more fun when you don't see it coming.

So instead of going straight home I stopped by my mom's office to say hello and bum a ride, because I was way too excited to relate how good music had been to wait for her at home. Her office rocks, free chocolate! So I munched on some candy bars while she finished up her work, and when we got home we watched two Gilmore Girls, AND, I have some VERY relieving news for all you fans (I know, I have SO many friends who are Gilmore Girls fans):

Season 4, which has been sucking pretty miserably lately, just got REALLY. EFFING. GOOD. We watched two episodes only, but TWO in a row, and they were both AMAZING. Thank the LORD, I'd heard about how much season six sucked, but I'd had high hopes for season four and here it was, being awful! *phew*

Today I'm definitely going to practice my butt off, for a ton of things. I have to do Ratner's stupid third grade assignment (honestly, I'm starting to expect that for Thanksgiving she's going to have us trace our hands and decorate little turkeys) which is definitely going to put a damper on things because, stupid as it may be, I still can't think of anything to write.

Elisa, want to be my new boyfriend?
Chloe, come shoe shopping with me! I need pink shoes!

*kisses*, on the house
