Gene: Let's clean the house!
Analia: ...Why...?
Gene: I don't know, more brownie points from your mom, or something.
Analia: Brownie points?! Psh. Brownie points are useless. ...Unless, of course, you can trade them in for actual brownies.
Early today Gene realizes he just doesn't feel like going to work today, and in a very Office Space manner, decides to cut like a bad boy, and convinces sister to follow suit. Thus, we have an entire day before us of free time! First we stopped by Walgreens to go shopping and spent WAY too long there. I heart Walgreens, it's almost as cool as The Container Store.
Gene found out that there is aluminum in deodorant, and while aluminum in small amounts isn't all that bad for you, after a while said small amounts can build up (like, say, if you got these amounts put onto your skin... DAILY) and that aluminum exposure can lead to diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
ALSO, anti-perspirant deodorant can cause breast cancer because it actually tries to stop making you sweat, which is extremely bad for your glands, or your pores, or something. My family is REALLY freakishly healthy.
So Gene stocked up on deodorant that didn't contain any aluminum. They don't make deodorant that isn't anti-perspirant anymore. Bastards... We're all going to die of breast cancer!
Then we headed into the toothpaste aisle. Gene picked up every single toothbrush looking for one that was "ADA approved" (American Dental Alliance or something), found one--just one--and then informed us that the bad, stale breath that you get in the middle of the day when you haven't eaten in a while is a cause of your saliva being created without enough water, or something, and while Listerine mouthwash gives you that minty breath smell, it doesn't help the problem in the long run. Really, water is better, because mouth wash contains alcohol that may kill bacteria, but dries your mouth out even more.
...Ummm, YEAH. I tried buying eyeliner. My sister wouldn't let me because she couldn't remember which of the make-up companies didn't test on animals, and she didn't want to risk anything. :oD Oh yes, shopping with them is fun fun fun.
Now we're home, and I wanted to go out and do something fantastic, a la Ferris Beuller's Day Off, but instead we're cleaning. Yes, Gene's plan won out in the end. We suck... SO much.
