Magi Nation Parmalag
Been slowly but surely crawling my way out of the pit I’ve been in for well over ten years. And so I’ve begun Creating again.
Not the greatest in the world, but not bad for my second piece since, like, middle school. …ye gods, that’s over twenty years ago D:
Anyway, as the card says, this little fella is a parmalag, a dream creature from the wonderful game of Magi Nation. A Game Boy and card game that never got that big and so never really had a whole lot of merchandise made for it. So I’m making my own. As I improve I’ll slowly start making some of the more complex creatures. Eventually I hope to actually add joints to make them posable but that’s far, far in the future. Right now I’m simply content with making things again.
Most of the critters I’ll be making will be gifts to my partner, Ink-in-Hand, as they’re an even bigger fan and the one to reintroduce me to the series. :D
The eyes are glow in the dark paint and I still need a lot of work translating 2-D images into 3-D, but I’m pretty happy with the end results.
Here’s to a new start and new growth.
