Why does it seem that I always end up in a fountain of some sort?

My clothes are all wet...but Dad'll probably end up getting more on eBay.

Excuse me? Is anyone here? Is there a host club going on that I wasn't informed of? Could someone possibly tell me where I am, and where I can dry off?

I hope this isn't a prank. I don't have a passport.

Ah, in the fountain.

That is a rather unfortunate way to arrive here. This is the City, "the City" being its only name. It is all a little complicated. Rather, a lot.

Yes, I don't really enjoy being sopping wet.

Kyouya-senpai linked me to some helpful resources. The City is really confusing...is it even real?

Could this be a dream?

No less in a strange place.

Having lived here for roughly two months now, I can report with some certainty that the City is real. It is most unfortunate, as the lot of us had far better things to do in our own worlds, never mind the many ridiculous curses this City provides that we could do without.

Could you dream such a thing? Perhaps. Good luck waking up.

At least there are familiar faces here.

I probably couldn't, but I don't think I'd be able to step into Tamaki-senpai's dream...or the twins'.

You're very encouraging to a newcomer, and who do I have the pleasure of talking to?

That can be a comfort, yes.

Not all that encouraging, in fact, if you find me encouraging, I must be doing a poor job. Given the nature of the City, it is kinder to be realistic to the point of pessimism. No, one rarely finds a way out by seeking it, yes, the curses can be terrible, not to mention the City citizens who thirst for blood--and I do not only mean in the literal, vampiric sense.

Er, I am Ishida Uryuu. You are...?

That was a show of sarcasm, but I guess from what I've read the curses aren't something to look forward to.

It's nice to meet you Ishida-san, I'm Fujioka Haruhi.

... I thought as much. Still, in the event that it wasn't, I thought I ought to be clear. The curses range from ridiculous, to extremely irritating, to downright dangerous.

Good to meet you as well, Fujioka-san. The circumstances are deplorable.
