Dice keep me busy..
So I've been a tad quiet on here lately but I assure you that I am still alive.
I've just been a bit busy trying to balance my life out some and well, it's been brought to my attention that I'm very anti-social. Which I don't see as being completely true unless you discount internet, then yes, I'm anti-social.
So Tuesday I went to a birthday party of a friend and found myself roped into a game of D&D. I've had people trying to get me to play for ages now and I've managed to somehow always never actually play. Until now. I think once I got over some of my shyness of playing and interacting with a new person, I did get into it and I had fun. So much fun that today after work I went up to the comic shop and purchased my first set of dice, plus some extra d6's so that I didn't have to keep borrowing. I still need to get a d100 but I don't need that right away.
I'm going to eventually change out the random extra d6's with the Lathyrus color from Chessex when I scrape some more cash together. Against the red velvet bag you can't really make out the mottled purple and blue so well with the copper contrast but it's pretty.
So it looks like Tuesdays are going to be pretty filled from now on.. Changeout at work, Weight Watchers later that night followed up by D&D.
I've been trying to work on writing but it's slow goings again. I appear to be stuck but that's not quite true. I've just been busy trying to keep life together. Balance is this great unachievable thing for me. I can't have life and two jobs and write all at the same time. So I guess every so often, someone is going to be left out. But I promise I'll keep writing as I can. Friday I will be at the library writing away for as long as I can.
