1)I must pay respect to the chair of our Pathology course, Dr. Miyai. He is the epitomy of wisdom and kindness both and my school is very lucky to have him.
I must also pay dues to amusing phrases that come out of our pathology textbook. My current favorite is "it is severe because it is fatal."
2) Matt, this is the poem I was referencing in my text =P I was making a metaphorical allusion, lol, nothing personal.
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams
W.B. Yeats
I love Yeats' phrasing; it's simple but beautiful. I referenced his Brown Penny poem in an earlier entry, too.
3) I really shouldn't post after exams; I am too scatter-brained. Boba time!
