by Ironman...I went to see it with Austin, Jeff, Jared, and Paul yesterday at Horizon. I wasn't really expecting much I guess, I hadn't seen many previews for it. But it was actually significantly less cheesy than most other superhero movies. I liked it.
Earlier yesterday Austin and I went to Petsmart. They had this really big adoption thing going on. There were so many awesome cats and dogs...but the one that struck me most was this cat named Wink. She was a one year old stray they found who was missing her right eye. And she was REALLY friendly. I felt...really sad. I just badly wanted her to get adopted. I would have adopted her myself, if I had my own place to take care of a cat. The adoption fee was $95, which is cheap considering she's had all her shots, been spayed, and micro-chipped. She's so nice that I'm sure she'll get adopted...and I'm PRETTY sure that the shelter she came from is no-kill. I hope.
After that we went to Borders for a couple of hours and I started re-reading Hogfather. That book is hilarious.
Friday I went to a tea shop in downtown TC Brittany told me about. She bought me food and this AMAZINGLY MAGICAL cinnamon tea... I felt bad because I was totally broke. I definitely recommend the place though, it was cheap, you got a good amount, free endless refills on tea, and it all tasted really good. It's all organic too, and to Brandy and my other vegans, there's a selection of good stuff for you guys to eat.
I had an interview at Ponderosa on Thursday. It would be pretty cool if I had a job again...this time one that's not quite so far into Traverse City. How ironic would it be if I worked at a STEAKHOUSE of all places though. Ha.
And my last day of school was Thursday! So I'm free from the summer, but like Jamie, more than excitement I'm kind of worried about money for next year. Tuition for in-district students is going up next fall, but it'll still be way cheaper than what Jamie's got to pay for. :( I'm still kind of worried. And yesterday I saw someone from my Spanish class, Rawan. She's from Israel and she's pretty much awesome.
I loved Cinderella, the cast party was fun as ever, and I'm hoping Gary will get a techie shirt this year. ^^ I wish we had got one for him last year, I didn't even think about it.
And Jamie imed me while I was AFK inviting me over sometime after six, so I think I'll take her up on that. I want to see her so badly.
EDIT: Oh, and I'm also learning 12:51 by The Strokes. I'm learning Blackbird by the Beatles too but I thought I'd take a break from that and work on something easier.
