crazy busy
So I've been INSANELY busy lately. Glad to be done with SSP. It was fun and I enjoyed it a lot, but it was also a lot of work.
After that, I had a week off, then I had to repack and head to Jacksonville, FL with my sister. On the way there, we saw a car crash literally right in front of us. It was kinda crazy and scary, but the driver was fine although his car was totally screwed up. The next day, my sister and I flew out to Phoenix, AZ, which was the longest day of my life. The 2 flights we took totalled about 6 hours of flying, and then on top of it we got 3 extra hours because of the time difference.
Anyway, spent a week visiting my oldest sister in AZ. We drove over to LA to visit family there and spent 2 days in California, which was pretty cool. While there, we spent one day at Laguna Beach and got to hang out with cousins I hadn't seen in a few years. Back in AZ, we took 2 days to visit the Grand Canyon. We actually got to see it at sunrise, which was pretty amazing. Overall, the week was awesome; we always had something to do or somewhere to go. Kept busy hanging out with my sisters, like old times.
I just got back home today. Gotta unpack, do laundry, rest for a week, and then head back to UGA. The summer's pretty much flown by, which I'm happy about. I'm actually pretty ready to get back to Athens and have something to do. As much as I've enjoyed the summer and not having classes, I hate being at home with nothing to do, hence the whole staying busy all summer long.
Earlier today I was going through my computer, sifting through my pictures, videos, and other files cleaning out anything I don't need anymore. And I ran across some old stuff from GSSM -- tons of pics from senior year and some very hilarious videos from over the 2 years. I forgot that I had taken a video during the night in Columbia last summer. And then there's the amazing "Kill Mary" video Michael put together. All around good stuff. Made me feel slightly nostalgic, especially now, going into our 2nd year of college. It's crazy how time flies by so quickly. At times I feel both so young and hopeful, but other times old and matured. I feel some kind of change coming along, but I don't know if it's good or bad. I think right now is just one of those awkward transition times. Either that, or I just have too much time to sit and think about this stuff. Probably the latter. But anyway, that's my very quick update on what's been going on in my life. Hope everyone else's summer is going well for the last few weeks.

Also, that bar at the top of the LJ page is kinda cool, but also confusing. And also, I cut my hair . . . into a mohawk.
