SSP Week 1

Jul 06, 2006 00:03

SSP was pretty good; a lot better than I thought it'd turn out. Some problems with rules changing and some "special" campers. Kinda make me afraid for future govies. Overall, a good first week, though. Entomology was fun; I enjoyed catching the insects and learning a little bit too. The RAs were cool and our new RA-office is pretty freakin sweet (mostly cause of the Razor scooter we found and ride around everywhere).

This is my week off for July 4th before I go back for the last 2 session of SSP. Spent the 4th mostly chilling, then had Skanky, Amanda, Christina, and Joy over to shoot off some fireworks. Luckily none of them got messed up this time around. Also, Ebner came down and hung out in Meggett for a few days. We went to a party one of my friends from Academic Magnet was having for her bday, which was a month ago. Pretty cool seeing old friends and meeting some new people, especially the ones from the other Gov's School. Those arts kids are a very different breed from us science and math kids.

So far I've been pretty bored though. I really need to get out and run on a daily basis (or at least every other day), but I keep putting it off. Hopefully this weekend I'll get to see the new Pirates movie and possibly hang out at the beach Saturday to get some sun and work on my tan.

Anyway, that's the update on my life recently. Yeah, nothing too special. Hope everyone's having a good summer either working or chillin or doing research (those few sad souls). Later.
