I don't understand how people can be so brutal to each other. Honestly, what is so different within those who were willing to kill so many blacks during and decades before the civil rights movement so different than me? Am I capable of such monstrosity as well? I don't understand how the COLOR of skin could anger, NOT just just one, but masses of people to want to brutally kill someone. I don't get it... how can we be okay with people hanging from trees or being lynched for so long? This was still being done less than 50 years ago in our own democratic nation.

I have a test tomorrow for my civil rights class and I'm tired.
