The school thing is tough.. is this your second, or third year? (Okay, prepare for a novel, I'm sorry! lol) I had the same problem with my school... Everyone's idea of a good time was hugging the toilet bowl at the end of the night, and I lived on the party floor of my dorm freshmen year, so it was tough. I would have to play music at night to drown out the sound of people yelling and singing drunkinly... I shudder just remembering it. I had no friends. At all. I talked to two people in one of my classes, and they didnt live on campus, so I never saw them. It was horrible! I went back for a second year because there isnt another art school I could transfer to without moving several states away, which my mother couldnt handle. I had the roomate from hell, and still, no friends. One girl I had thought would be a good friend turned out to be as crazy as my roomate, and now theyre best friends. -_- But at the end of my second year, I met a very quiet girl, and at the begining of my third year, i met some of her friends, and found a few more, and now we have a very tight little circle of respectable people who dont need to party or go nuts, and, some of them even collect dolls! O_O... I love these girls, and I dont know what I would do without them! And if I had left school... and never would have met them, either. :( I guess, the moral of the story is.. to just keep pushing on. It takes time, as everything does, but there is always hope out there for things to turn out the way they should have in the first place... :) Sorry for talking your ear off. >_< oops.
Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for the encouragement. This is my second year.
I know one of my roommates next year has the same sort of feelings about partying that I do, so maybe we can pair up and find other people like us (surely there must be more of us!) I know plenty of people in my classes that are really fun to talk/banter with, but they're not the type of people who I'd want to hang out with after school. I'm going to give it another semester--and hopefully things will improve!
