Since reading about the security breach, Ludwig had gone into over-protective boyfriend mode. Anytime Feliciano would say he wanted to go for a drive, Ludwig swallowed his discomfort and went with. Every chance the little Italian had to go out and do something, Ludwig followed, terrified of letting the redhead out of his sight. There had been a ( Read more... )

Feliciano brightened. "Okay!" He said, bouncing up out of his seat. "We can go through the haunted walkthroughs if you want!" He said, smiling and grabbing his shoes. "But not he Freshman, I helped set that up and it's more cute than scary!" He grinned. "At least from what I've heard from others anyway."

He ran and grabbed Ludwig's shoes and took them to him. "Here you go!" He said, handing them over and impatiently rocking back and forth on his heels.

It took only a few moments for Ludwig to put his shoes on, and then the two were out, heading for the sophomore floor. The senior basement would be far too terrifying for poor little Feli and the idea of being lost in a maze was not a pleasant thought, not with over-exaggerated daymares of kidnappers coming for Feliciano rampaging through Ludwig's head.

Upon reaching the sophomore floor Ludwig couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow at the gaudy carny posters. He offered an arm to his boyfriend and lead the way inside.

Feli lead Ludwig into the "Carnival". He smelled food, but he knew they had to get there first. As they walked, a bloody looking clown jumped out at them and Feli screamed, running to the other side of Ludwig. "Tenere lontano!" he held onto Ludwig's arm, and tugged him quickly away from the scary clown.

How a clown covered in blood was supposed to be scary, Ludwig wasn't sure, but he wasn't really one to appreciate gore frights. The thought of someone covered in blood didn't scare the large German as much as it made him wonder where the blood was coming from and how quickly the victim could stem the flow. It obviously terrified little Feli, however, and Ludwig allowed his frightened boyfriend to drag him off. The smell of carnival food was coming from somewhere nearby and Ludwig knew food was always a good way to calm Feliciano's nerves.

"Susse, would you like a snack?" Ludwig asked gently, heading in the direction of the concessions. "Ah, there are wursts, schatz," He offered a small smile and ordered two, kissing Feli on the top of the head.

"You aren't too scared, are you, liebling?"

Feli shook his head. "N...No...I'm not that s...scared." Who was he kidding. He was terrified. But the promise of food made him brighten.

"Is there mustard for them?" He asked, his earlier fright nearly forgotten.

He liked being scared once in awhile, but only if Ludwig was around. In his mind Ludwig could protect him from anything.

"Are there drinks, too?" He asked enthusiastically.

Ludwig doled out a good helping of mustard on Feli's wurst before handing it over. It made him happy to know he turned the little Italian on to the habit of smothering a good sausage in mustard. Ludwig could feel heat rising up the back of his neck, remembering a particularly naughty evening spent teaching the smaller man the differences between one kind of mustard and another, though the wursts that night were hardly the kind he wanted anyone biting.

After asking the spooky vendor if there were beverages, and being told there were three to choose from, he ordered two waters, unsure of what kind of drinks Bat Blood and Snail Slime were supposed to be. The couple enjoyed their snacks as they wandered around, looking at the bizarre creep show art on the walls.

As the two were turning down the hall, they passed a door with a poster of a large headed clown. Before they could breathe, the door opened and the clown on the poster jumped out of the room, chasing Feliciano around Ludwig. Ludwig simply stood still, a little confused.

Feli ran around in circles trying to get away from the clown. "Ludwig, help me! Non lasciare che mi ottenere!" He ran down the hall, trying to get away from the clown, which chased him and laughed maniacally. He reached the end of the hall, and found he couldn't run any further, so he turned, and ran at the clown who stopped in shock.

He ran right under the clown's upraised arm, and back to Ludwig. "Oh mio dio..." He gasped out, hiding behind Ludwig, his fingers curling into Ludwig's shirt. "Why must they jump out like that??"

This wasn't quite going the way Ludwig had expected. Though the cheesy scares weren't getting to him at all, poor Feliciano was shaking in his shoes. Ludwig glared at the student in the clown mask as he wrapped his arms around his trembling boyfriend.

"If this is too scary, meine schatz, we can go home," He murmured against Feli's red hair. He had no idea the little Italian was so scared of clowns.

"I'm not...scared...that badly...I just don't like it when things jump out at me...that's all..." Feliciano tried to reason.

"If you...want to stay...we can..." He said quietly. "But they tend to jump out a lot..."

Feliciano didn't really want to admit he was scared of a few fellow students dressed up as clowns. That was just silly. He'd admit to being scared of anything else, but clowns? They were supposed to be funny and happy...not covered in blood and scary!

"We can stay for as long as you feel comfortable, susse," Ludwig nuzzled the top of Feli's head. The two of them walked past the door with the one clown on it, trying to head back towards the main area. As soon as they passed another door with a different clown poster, Ludwig grimaced. Another clown jumped out, this one oddly reminiscent of It from the Stephen King film. This wouldn't be good; even the mere mention of that movie caused Feli to tremble uncontrollably.

Feli saw the clown immediately. He screamed, grabbing Ludwig by the hand and ran from the sophomore floor, dragging Ludwig all the way back to his dorm room. Amazingly, he pulled the correct card key out of his pocket the first time, letting them in Ludwig's dorm immediately. He pulled Ludwig in and slammed and locked the door.

"Oh Mio Dio!!" He exclaimed, trying to catch his breath. He ran into Ludwig's arms and buried his face against his chest. "That was IT!! I know it was!! He's gonna come up through the drains and get me!!" He cried.

Even for a runner, Ludwig was surprised by the speeds his little boyfriend reached when escaping. Before he really registered what was happening, he and Feli were standing in his dorm room. The little Italian was practically hyperventilating in Ludwig's arms.

"Shush, susse," Ludwig tried to comfort Feli. "The It clown doesn't exist, schatz, it's just a movie monster. Shh, you're all right. I won't let any clowns get you," He murmured, peppering kisses all over Feliciano's head, face and neck.

"Are you sure?? I don't want it to get me!!" He held onto Ludwig very tightly. He pulled away just a little to look up into Ludwig's eyes. "You promise you won't let him get me??" He begged.

"He can't get you, schatz. You are afraid of clowns, well, clowns are afraid of big German men," Ludwig smiled and kissed Feliciano on the tip of his nose. Gently grasping his chin, Ludwig lowered his kisses to the Italian's mouth.

"I'll protect you," He whispered

Feli melted against Ludwig...most of his fears forgotten as his mind took a nose dive into the gutter.

"And you are a big German man, Ludwig." He giggled.

He glanced nervously at the bathroom. "Can we shut the bathroom door, just in case?" He asked.

Taking Feli in hand, Ludwig walked over to the bathroom and shut the door. One step closer and his little boyfriend was twirled into his arms, surrounded by Ludwig's protection.

"Does that help, susse?" Ludwig breathed against Feli's curl.
