I woke up saturday morning and Mitchell showed up at my house. He smoked a cigarette and then we went to a garage sale and that turned into a day of thrift store shopping and eating lots of homemade chilis at my mom's house.
We went to the Humane Society Thrift Store and I got a fondu set with a cookbook for three bucks (fondu party?) then I bought a tea maker and a record player- may the vinyl collecting begin (finally)!!!
Then we went to Salvation Army where I bought a flannel thermus. We watched The Jerk the night before so it seemed appropriate to me. While there, Ian found "Blood on the Tracks" for 2 Bucks. It was a pretty good find. He's been getting lucky lately. Just like a week ago he found Who's "Who's Next" and Yes' "Fragile" there.
Then, we went to Project Love to do more vinyl and whatnot shopping. Ian and Mitchell were finding loads of stuff while I wandered around. By the time I came over to sort through the vinyl boxes, there were only two remaining that they hadn't combed through. But, luck was with me because I almost instantly found The Who's "Who's Next." It's in great condition and we're all pretty convinced it's original pressing. I'm really happy about it.
