Tuesday is patch day for World of Warcraft, and yesterday's was big enough to be a new version, instead of a patch. And, with respect to the beta process, they could've done a little more work before implementation. It's normal to see a few bugs pop up here and there, but the ones I've found have been ridiculous.

I can accept a free respec to accommodate new talents, I can accept seriously jacked up prices on basic commodities due to the new profession. I've managed to find my mount and check my achievements and retrain without spamming the chat channel with moronic questions. I even finished a troublesome quest while people were still sorting themselves out. But here are a few Alliance-specific problems I've found. (sorry guys... I hope you aren't having the trouble with the new tower that I'm having with the old harbors)

- Stormwind Harbor is now open. However, five minutes of sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide roll away doesn't tell me where the boats are or where they'll go. I saw not a single boat in motion, so I assumed it was going to Northrend, which is inaccessible for another month.

- Menethil Harbor has changed its service. It used to serve Auberdine and Theramore. Now, it serves Northrend (again. no boat, but a helpful dockhand set me straight) and Theramore. Since my plan was to go to Auberdine, I figured I'd take the boat to Theramore and fly (then sail back to find the new terminus). Oh, no... not that easy. I'm on the boat, everyone's happy... and then I'm in the ocean, tiring rapidly. I swim back to shore and try again. And right when I should have made the connection to the other side of the world, I get an alert that the World Server is down. I'm convinced I crashed it. While I should take that as a point of pride, I really just want to train.

Following yesterday's "2pm PDT" = "10pm PDT" debacle, it's safe to say I'm not thrilled with their patch. And I'm excited about the changes... I just want things to work.
