1. If you've read the last post since the edit, you know about the back pain. Advil is a good pain reliever... I recommend it highly (although the potential for stomach bleeding can scare some people away). But if you torque your back at work, I strongly encourage Jagermeister. Not only can I not feel my back pain, I can't feel my face. I'm not really sure if I'm even typing coherently, but I think I am... I'm just using the backspace key more than usual.

1a. I'm not encouraging anyone to mix their medicines, especially not pain relievers and alcohol. Choose one or the other... never both. There was a solid six hours between my Advil popping and my Jager downing, and I'm not fully convinced that even that length of time excuses the mix. Just don't. Because Advil followed six hours later by Jager is only a short step from taking Vicodin with vodka, and I would call an intervention on that with a quickness you wouldn't believe. Especially from someone like me, who doesn't go for direct confrontations. Seriously, though, medicine is medicine, but medicine with medicine requires a doctor's oversight.

2. Today's major problem: the iPod flipped out! On the commute in, I tried listening to Robbie Fulks, and the iPod said (in slightly nicer terms), "Fuck that!" It popped past almost all of the Robbie tracks, except for the double album, Revenge, and two tracks from his first, Country Love Songs. I found out on the way home that is also lost MCR's The Black Parade. I'm in the process of fixing it now.

I'm pretty sure that the problem came up last night, when I plugged the iPod into the laptop to charge it. It attempted to sync, and I attempted to cancel it, but neither of those operations went the way they were supposed to. So tonight, I re-synced it to the desktop, ejected it to test it out, and found that it didn't fix anything. So I switched it over to 'Manually manage...", deleted everything, flipped it back to auto-sync, and re-synced again. Now, it's adding track back onto the iPod. It's at 5,546 out of 17,858... so it'll be busy for a while. But it should be fixed, when it's all said and done.

3. The iPod woes are responsible for this icon. Because a commute without Robbie is so horrifying that only Mr. T in a sombrero can make things right again.

4. Yeah, like I said in the last one, I'm gonna go soak. See you tomorrow.
