1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. And, not to brag, but I'm damned good at wrapping gifts.
2. Real tree or artificial? I've never had a real tree. You might think that's sad, but I've always had fun putting the tree together.
3. When do you put up the tree? Depends on the year. I'm aiming for Thursday morning this year.
4. When do you take the tree down? Whenever I find the time. Usually in January, sometimes closer to February than I'd like.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes, even though I'm convinced, in my heart of hearts, that it's really French Toast batter without the nutmeg.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? It's been too long. I'll go with the stereo that I got in high school. It wasn't the best, but it opened a whole world to me.
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Several. They hang on the tree, so they're small. We're not religious, but I don't think that midwinter is anything to celebrate, and it is called Christmas, after all... Kinda hard to have the holiday without him.
8. Hardest person to buy for? Shopping isn't an easy task for anyone. But probably Dad. Everything he wants is expensive and awkward to ship.
9. Easiest person to buy for? I'll go with T, because she's really the only one I buy for anymore.
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I like all gifts.
11. Mail or e-mail Christmas cards? Mail but it's hit or miss whether or not I ever send them.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Miracle on 34th Street. Some of you might be surprised, since It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite movie of all time... but I maintain that just because a story is set at Christmastime doesn't make it a Christmas story.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I start thinking about it after Thanksgiving, but I'm a last-minute shopper. At least, now that I'm not in a store every fucking day.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I remember.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Those Butterfinger bells. What?
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Colored C7s as a kid, clear now. Prelit trees are glorious!
17. Favorite Christmas song? There are so many good ones. I like the wassailing one, and Good King Wenceslas is fun, even though I don't really know either one.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home. Christmas is for my household... I've got no problem visiting my parents or sisters for Thanksgiving or any of the days leading up to Christmas, but Christmas day is mine! I don't even answer the door... but I would answer the phone.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Either. Stars lately, but we've had angels in the past. Still have them, but we don't use them as toppers anymore.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas day. Santa comes Christmas Eve, and you don't want him to see a tree with no presents underneath it.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Today, that guy playing sax at the airport. I FUCKING HATE "White Christmas", and I hate it even more when it's played badly.
23. What I love most about Christmas? It's hard to describe. The part where you're sitting around enjoying each other's company, realizing that you don't have any further plans for the day and that, this once, that's a good thing, because there's nowhere else you want to be.
