From passive_passion. Actually, that's misleading, since it's from her non-LJ blog. But I stole it from the named person, if not the named location.

I also feel compelled to mention that I stole it based on the conversation over dinner, not because I read it. Any meme that is discussed over beer is definitely worth stealing. I'll go back and read her answers later. :-)

Which bands/artist do you own the most albums by?
Probably Ani DiFranco (16) or Depeche Mode (11), but those are both T's artists. If we block those out, 10 Ramones, 11 TMBG, 10 Indigo Girls, 9 Nields, 8 GBS, 8 Robbie, 9 EFO, 10 Tori. If we figure in tapes and records, all bets are off. And let's not even mention downloads.

What was the last song you listened to?
"Running Out of Angels" - Elvis Costello. At home anyway. I lost track of what was playing at dinner.

What's in your CD player right now?
My CD player is empty and disconnected right now. According to iTunes, I have 1921 albums loaded, but the album Greatest Hits has 490 songs on it.

What’s your favorite local band/group?
Robbie Fulks. Oh... band. Ummm... Covergurl is the last one I saw, but they're not that good.

What was the last show you attended?
Robbie, but I had to go to Northampton to see him.

What was the greatest show you’ve ever been to?
Probably the Weird Al show. That man's a performer in every possible meaning of the word.

What's the crappiest show you've ever been to?
That Covergurl show was pretty bad. But I did go to a Spin Doctors show once, so it's a bit of a toss-up.

What’s the most musically involved you have ever been?
My involvement tends to be financial rather than participatory. I've been a heavy CD buyer since the early 90s, but my radio show is probably the most active I've been.

What show are you looking forward to?
Shows tend to be more impulsive for me. I haven't looked lately.

What is your favorite band shirt?
I only have two now, and the Robbie shirt edges the Cheap Trick because it's orange. But I miss my Breeders shirt.

What musician would you like to hang out with for a day?
What would be the point? I'd be too nervous to really say anything.

Who is one musician or group you wish would make a comeback?
I'd like to see Fruvous again, but if I have to limit this to one, I'll go with ABBA.

Who is one band/artist you've never seen live but always wanted to?
I took so long to get into music that 'always' doesn't have much meaning. But I'm really kicking myself for never seeing the Ramones.

Name 5 of your favorite songs of all time?

I was just about to say, "Fuck that!"... but then I realized... I have the List. *checks* Wow... the list just seems so wrong. Let me adjust the sequence...

1. Blue Moon - The Marcels
2. Under My Thumb - The Rolling Stones
3. If I Can't Change Your Mind - Sugar
4. Oh Boy! - Buddy Holly
5. Baba O'Riley - The Who

Name 5 flawless albums:

1. Sugar - Copper Blue
2. My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
3. Kasey Chambers - The Captain
4. Too Much Joy - Mutiny
5. The Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray

Feel free to challenge, if you think I missed something. But neither Robbie nor the Nields could crack this list. I have three in reserve... think you can guess them? :-)

How many music-related videos/DVDs do you own?
A few. Are we counting feature films too? Less than 20 total, probably closer to 10.

How many concerts/shows have you been to, total?
Enough. I don't think you keep track after ten, and my memory isn't good enough to count them now.

Who have you seen the most live?
Probably Robbie Fulks, but if you count FRFF, it might be the Nields.

What is your favorite movie soundtrack?
Not Another Teen Movie. 80s covers by 00s artists. Fucking brilliant.

What was your last musical "phase" before you wised up?
Either the folk phase or the anti-emo phase... but it could be the "I don't like country" phase, depending on how you define "wised up".

What's your "guilty pleasure" that you hate to admit to liking?
When you can say you like the Spice Girls, Debbie Gibson, and Xanadu with pride, you really don't have shame left.

What album have you purchased the most copies of?
Sun-60. I think I've given that as a gift more than once.

Who is your favorite musician?
Richard Thompson? Marshall Crenshaw? Jo Wiggs? How can you pick just one?

This took me over an hour. That's just crazy!
