(no subject)
Due to some comments in the last entry, I've been on the hunt (figuratively) for polar bears. Thanks to Wiki's polar bear page, I scored this image, which is my new desktop (and it takes something special to displace my city, lemme tellya). But that led me to the USS Honolulu page, which led me to the list of submarines, which led me to the USS Silversides (she used to be a moored at Navy Pier in Chicago, before moving to Muskegon, MI, after some questionable choices by her non-profit group), which led me to the USS Connecticut (with some other stops along the way.
Seriously, though, check out the page, particularly the photo set toward the bottom. "A polar bear tried to eat Connecticut"... "Connecticut is inedible..." It's just killin' me right now. The "I CAN'T EAT UR BOAT!" look in the second frame... priceless!
