[OOC][Quick poll]
Since it is inevitable, nation-ask nations and people who follow nation-ask, a quick poll if you please.
While it is practically boot to the face implied that HRE likely is Germany in Hetalia (see;Valentine day strips), historically it makes sense, and fandom seems to agree-- I don't believe it has been 100% confirmed by Himaruya that in fact Hetalia HRE is Germany (And if it has been, disregard this all). Which leads me to my current conundrum for nation-ask.
I like it when things are confirmed canonical, but at the same time in regards to this particular situation in this particular fandom, I'd would like to go with what vox populi would like. :'D And I while I have answered at least one question on the community with the assumption HRE is very likely Germany, I would like some input before I proceed as such to other questions.
EDIT: On thinking about this, I also want to use this as a basis for pre-1800s nation-tan questions. Since... Germany wasn't... Really Germany at that period?
