Ven I signed in today, I saw this "Writer's Block" prompt: It's the winter solstice in the Northern hemisphere, summer solstice in the Southern hemisphere, and Haiku Day in the U.S. Does that inspire you to write a three-line poem with five syllables in the first and last lines and seven in the middle line?
I am not one usually for poetry-- breaking stuff is more fun AHAHAHAHA-- But I haff thought on this and came up vit' more than one.
Snow falls outside here
Each flake a different world
None are the same.
Such silence, a gift
Calming my rampant mind, I
enjoy peace briefly.
And, because Hothead and Random vant a turn:
Winter is too cold
give me the warmth of a
burning Autobot!!
Sneaking inside I
found my unwary target
and Lugnut went splat!
.... I haff had to be "talked to" this season for bringing snowballs into de base. Megatron does not like dot.
It vas an interesting exercise to write these, as I usually don't think in the required manner. Howeffer, I don't think I vill be quitting my day job anytime soon.
It is approximately 4:30 by human standard timekeeping, and already de sun is going to rest below de horizon. Daylight vas comparitively short today due to it being de Winter Solstice. I am aware dot some of my fans have made the day a tribute to this face I wear now. Because this fragment of my personality, Icy, is composed almost entirely of logic, I am aware that I do seem rather cold, although this is not alvays intended. I give credit to de humans for chosing de Winter Solstice anyvay. Cybertron does not haff the winter season like Earth, but I enjoy the cold and snow here. De quiet and stillness that comes with snowfall is calming, effen if Hothead complains about de cold. My life is made of internal (and external) contradictions. I hold fire and ice within me-- yet, I enjoy both.
