What is this contraption?

*... Did this thing just talk? He peers at it to see another man on the screen. His frown deepens*

I was more curious about a way back to Wien.

[Oh hoh hoh, an Austrian. This makes him quite happy, since he hasn't seen any of his citizens here yet be glad he doesn't know he's speaking to Beethoven yet.]

Unfortunately, in my time here, I have yet to find a way back to Vienna. If there were a way back, I most certainly would not be here.

*By the way he talks, he must be an Austrian. He closes his eyes, stressed by the way new information.*

Surely you just. I have an important concert to conduct.

[Austrian and a musician. A very good combination, if Austria did say so himself.]

A concert? You are a musician, then?

*He glances at Austria for a minute before answering. He looked dignified enough.*

You're correct. My name is Ludwig van Beethoven. *If he really does live in Vienna, he should know him. ...If not, he can always explain.*

[He's replaying that a few times in his head before responding. The man had said he was Beethoven, right?]

[He's studying Beethoven's face right now. He looks a bit different than Austria remembered, but it really would be a simple matter to prove this man really is Beethoven. Besides, Chopin was here and he looked a bit different, too, but he was still Chopin.]

[He pauses for a bit longer before answering because OMG BEETHOVEN &hearts. If he had a piano near-by at the moment, he would be playing some Mozart piano concertos because Mozart indicates happiness, and Austria was so incredibly happy right now, you have no idea.]

Done for now, I think gesangvoll March 8 2010, 03:50:56 UTC
[okay, time for him to collect himself]

My apologies, Beethoven, I am simply overjoyed to have a musician of your talent here in Somarium. It is certainly a pleasure and an honor to speak with you. My name is Austria, though if you prefer, you may address me as Roderich Edelstein.

... Wow. herr_angrybl March 8 2010, 06:10:05 UTC
*Beethoven examines the changes of expressions going on in Austria's face. He tries to analyze them, but the sheer .... something seems to be preventing him. His name catches off guard though.*

Austria? So you are like that man who proclaimed that he was Spain. Very well ... Mr. Edelstein. I am flattered to be welcomed, but how, would you say, a normal man like me should adapt to such a strange place?

*Any tips would be useful 8l;;*

[He's still pretty OMGOMGOMGOMGGGGG right now, Beethoven, but he's coherent enough to answer.]

You've met Spain? Yes, he and I are from the same homeworld, if that is what you choose to call it. As for how to adapt, well, I would suggest the same anyone adapts to this place. There are plenty of vacant homes you may stay in, both in the city and in the countryside. If you would like, you are more than welcome to stay in one of the guest homes near my manor in the village. They are well-furnished and in a rather nice location, if I do say so myself.
