Leave, Leave Now and Don't You Look Back

I've been reading a lot lately. Fight Club. Finally. One of the best pieces of literature ever. Reading Choke now and Hondo with a little cliffnoting in Soul of the Samurai. Lacrosse is now offically in full swing and I was made a fourth Captain last week. Does it make me seem weird if I'd rather complete a triathalon than attend Prom? Honestly I don't see it as such a big deal. Haha maybe I'm just sore. Whatever the case it should be fun. I can't wait to leave this place and say goodbye. I'm craving a new beginning. There are so many things I wanna do, especially if I go to Old Dominion University. Free diving being one of them. Ah and fucking Aruba. Spend everyday in the oceannnn. I really feel at home in the water.

"Hey Marine, come here"
"Yes sir?"
"You know that's my division"
"Really sir, how long did you serve?"
"Four years, artillery with 3rd Division. India. Lima. When are you heading out?"
"I was enlisted but then I was granted a ROTC scholarship so I'll serve 8 years as an officer"
"God bless you"
"Thank you sir"
"Greatest thing you'll ever do in your life"
"I know sir"

Brotherhood like that...you can't find anywhere else on the face of God's green earth. Semper Fi.
