wash over me, make me new
this weekend on lake house holiday with mason.... couldn't have needed it more. it was perfect just to get the heck out of the city for a bit, just so that i could do absolutely *nothing.*
i have been having pretty bad anxiety lately, which causes my stomach to be in a constant tangle of knots and at some point yesterday, i realized that they were completely gone. i was so relaxed that when i finally made it to my bed last night, i fell asleep right away. and that never happens.
so good.
yesterday was filled with amazing food... mason made breakfast--pancakes, amazing egg concoction, and veggie sausage links...yummm. and then we also did some grilling--various salmon items that were delicious. i observed last night that we've been doing well in keeping up with our weekly seafood date...just one of those extravagant desires that i like to indulge in when possible. ( freakysparks, your food entry got me thinking about this...)
the lake was *gorgeous*... pure gorgeousness. warm breezes, sunny skies, and hot rays of sunshine all proved to be the perfect companions while lounging on the deck and dock. i forget how much i need water in my life... having lived just a few blocks from a lake that appears to be an ocean for so long had me spoiled. and now i just don't get enough.
