I've found a lot of new fics over the past few months. Some I've highlighted in my journal, and others (the vast majority of them, actually) have gone unmentioned. Still, I'm feeling highly unproductive, so I figured I'd try to post a more complete list of fics ( Read more... )

No problem! I'd like to particularly recommend the ASHverse stories, as well as Carpe Felis from the last post. Those two are probably my absolute favorites, if you haven't read them yet and ever feel a need to return to DA fanfic. :)

I love your writing. It's that simple, and I wish that I could verbalize it a bit more. All I can say is that the compliments are much deserved.

And I completely understand the issues with the *.doc, so I've changed the link above. I usually only put really, really long files into a *.doc file, for my own personal reference, so that I can read it more easily, without having to load webpage after webpage. Yours was a lot shorter, but I just enjoyed it so much. Plus, I wanted to make it available to as many people as possible. :)

Anyhow, thanks for the tempting and tantalizing mention of the missing scene. Now, before I can do anything else today, I'm going to have to go read that missing scene. Whee! :)

Aww, you're sweet. And I'm glad you're enjoying the series. It's certainly stretching itself out, isn't it, for something that was supposed to be a one-shot. ::shakes head::

It's a fantastic series. I actually have a lot of it copied into Word for easy reference when I'm offline. Sometimes, I just get in a mood, you know?

And, for what it's worth, I just went to go send a friend some fics to rec and got totally sucked into "Test of Wills" again. I don't know if I ever left you feedback on that one (therein lies the problem with loading stories to read before bed each night ... no internet when the reading is done!), but it's at least twenty kinds of awesome. :)

I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

"Test of Wills" was great just for the Renfro factor. Gah, I love writing cold, heartless bitches way too much. So I'm glad you liked. She was a tough cookie to crack, so to speak.

Oh, I believe it. I don't know, for me, the whole realm of DA fanfic is too intimidating to try right now. Also, there's the whole factor that I have enough plot bunnies romping around in my head right now for both SPN and VM that I don't know what to do with myself half the time. ;)

I'm happy to help! I have a lot more, actually, bookmarked, that I haven't had a chance to get to posting up yet. I just ... not enough time in the day!

Still, I'm happy that you found a use for it. Welcome to the fandom, I guess - although I'm hardly all that active, and I've only written, like, one piece myself!

You really help me to find quickly the good sites, the best authors and their fabulous fics. you spare me a lot of time and energy (and sanity probably too). The search for good fics is so exhausting and frustrating...

Well, I've been going through FF.net [definitely a trying task] and checking out all of the M/A fics I find. Some I just back out of straight off. If the grammar/spelling is really bad, I don't want the trouble since it'll just end up giving me a headache before all is said and done.

One notable fic that I would recommend there is The Friggin' Cure. I don't remember who it's by, but if you have issues, I can try to look a bit closer. Inzane, maybe? I forget. She has a couple other pieces too that I haven't had a chance to read yet. Hopefully that'll steer you down the right path. :)

[and, as a bit of self-pluggage, I do have one DA fic written myself to-date. Für Musik - The Battle of Evermore is the first in a series of one-shots [ ... in theory], all under the "Für Musik" title, with different subtitles. Max and Alec are 12 or so in the first installment, and both are at Manticore. Max never escaped with her unit, but details on the how/why are in the fic. It'll eventually end up being M/A, but ... later.]Otherwise, ( ... )
