Details about Esperanza's mother (and her involvement with Logan) will be forthcoming in the next chapter or two. Of course, Logan isn't one to bear his soul willingly, so additional details that he may have neglected to mention might appear much later in the story. This thing is looking like it's going to be 10+ chapters, but I hope you enjoy the ride anyhow. :)
I wonder who Esperanza's mother is and if it has anything to do with Logan and Veronica not talking over the past few years. Not directly, she doesn't, but I think that if you squint real hard, the argument could probably be made that there was an influence of some sort.
I wonder how Veronica and Logan will be able to get together in this story. It's all planned out, but if I told you now, then what fun would reading the fic be? ;) However, I will say that their path is filled with things such as reestablishing friendship and trust, guilt, and the typical angst that I stick in my fanfics. :)
I wonder why Nick brought up their sex life. I don't think that I'm ever going to cover this later since I'm not planning to bring this back up in a future chapter or tell a scene from Nick's POV, so I'll try to explain this now. Nick is meeting a lot of these people for the first time. Sure, he's met Veronica's parents and brothers before, but he's never met Logan, for instance. While he's very comfortable in his relationship with Veronica (they have been dating for almost 4 years, after all!), he feels like a fish out of water, so to speak. He's heard things about Logan - not that he and Veronica ever kissed since of course she's not going to see the point of mentioning that detail to him - from Veronica and others in the past, and I'm sure he's heard his share of gossip just standing in the receiving line and making small talk with random people. He wants to try to blend into his surroundings, to some extent, which is why he made the comment about their sex life that Veronica found to be so out of character for him.
Does that make sense? I've never written that down, so it's more or less stream of consciousness sort of thing there, but I hope that that helps explain that a little bit.
Thanks so much for your feedback - I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying this! :)
Wow, That is the longest reply I have ever received to a comment I left. Thank you for answering all of the things you did even if some of it was to tell me I am not allowed to know yet. I can't wait to read more.
Hee, I guess I just tend to be verbose. Besides, you were nice enough to leave me some feedback, so I figured the least *I* could do was leave you a complete answer to some of the questions you asked.
Thanks again for the encouragement and support! :)
