Log: Harvey and The Joker
[23:33] Joker: *is -- making coffee :)*
[23:34] Harvey: *wanders into the kitchen in search of coffee then freezes* You.
[23:34] Joker: *:O!* Who?
[23:37] Harvey: *is not going to punch him, is not going to punch him* Don't start this.
[23:38] Joker: You're looking good, Harvey. You want some coffee? Just made it fresh. *:)* The kitchen's still a little smokey, but it works.
[23:38] Joker: There was an /explosion/ here, did you hear about that? Caused quite the ruckus.
[23:40] Harvey: I heard. *flatly* And no thank you.
[23:41] Joker: Pity, I make a great cup o'joe. *sits at the table with a purple mug of coffee and puts his feet up* You been here long?
[23:42] Harvey: *doesn't want to imagine what could be slipped into the cup* A few days.
[23:58] Joker: A few days! Settling in, I hope. You look a little better than when I last saw you. How're your wrists?
[00:05] Harvey: *rubs them, unconsciously* Just fine.
[00:08] Joker: Get all that oil out've your hair? You have such pretty hair. *coffeesip*
[00:10] Harvey: ... *really doesn't know what to make of that* I'm going to go.
[00:10] Joker: Nonono, sit, stay. *kicks a chair towards him* Let's talk. We need a good chat. We had one, but if your face is an indication, you don't remember it.
[00:12] Harvey: I don't think I have anything I'd care to say to you. *starts to turn away but the face comment makes him stop* What?
[00:13] Joker: *nods to the chair* Have a seat.
[00:13] Harvey: *warily sits down, even though he's sure it's a Very Bad Idea*
[00:16] Joker: Now, last you remember, you were flailing around in a pool of oil right? *kicks his legs demonstratively, careful not to spill his coffee*
[00:16] Harvey: *grits his teeth* Yes.
[00:26] Joker: Well okay, let me tell you what happened after. Are you /sure/ you don't want coffee, Harvey?
[00:27] Harvey: I'm /sure/. *looks distrustfully at him* And tell me why I should believe anything you say.
[00:27] Joker: Ask the bat man. He'll tell you I'm right.
[00:30] Harvey: I doubt if I will have the opportunity.
[00:30] Joker: I'm sure he'll show up someday. Thought I saw him lurking about... *eyebrow raise and coffeesip*
[00:32] Harvey: Of course you have. *frowns, and considers leaving*
[00:35] Joker: Right, so the rest of the story. The Bat Man rushes to the rescue and pulls you out in time. The police rush to Rachel's rescue but can't find where in the building she is in time. Both places explode. *demonstrative fingerwiggle* Rachel sadly goes down with the building. You catch fire and burn off a good part of that pretty face of yours. Got checked into the hospital where you tried to be a martyr, /terribly/ dramatic. *coffeesip* You
[00:35] Joker: personal. You ran out of the hospital before that exploded, too.
[00:35] Joker: You and I had a good chat, I told you it was nothing personal. You ran out of the hospital before that exploded, too.

[00:36] Joker: Gave you a gun, though.
[00:36] Harvey: *just stares at him* You're lying. *Because Rachel can't be dead. He refuses to believe it.*
[00:37] Joker: Harvey, why would I lie to you? What would that do for me? Nothing. I have no reason at all to lie to you. Death happens. Just... accept it and move on. *waves a hand*
[00:39] Harvey: *a little louder then he means to* She's not dead.
[00:39] Joker: Whatever helps you sleep at night.
[00:39] Harvey: *slams the table with his fist* She's not /dead/.
[00:40] Joker: Now what have /I/ done to deserve such agression? *tuts softly* Really, Harvey.
[00:41] Harvey: You - *right, taking deep breaths* I'm not going to listen to you.
[00:43] Joker: You kind of... don't have a choice. Who else here can you trust, Harvey? The Bat Man? The Bat Man can't be trusted, we've seen that. He's too dangerous. Bruce Wayne? *shrugs* Maybe. But he's got his own agenda. Who here is completely /without/ a plan or an agenda of any kind. *sets his coffee down and gestures to himself* Me.
[00:45] Harvey: Batman, I'll give you. Perhaps Bruce Wayne, too. But you - you must think I think I'm utterly insane if you would think I would believe you have no plans or agendas. I've seen your work, remember.
[00:46] Joker: *scoffs* Harvey. Do I /look/ like a man with a plan? Honestly.
[00:47] Harvey: I think apperances are deceiving, especially with you.
[00:48] Joker: I don't plan /anything/. I just -- do. I do things. Other people plan. You've got plans, Bruce has plans, Batman has plans, Dr. Crane has plans. I have no plans. I don't know what I'll be doing in the next five minutes, much less anything beyond that.
[00:49] Joker: So please believe me when I say it was really nothing personal, what happened to you and your squeeze.
[00:51] Harvey: I don't believe you. *a little less certainly, this time*
[00:52] Joker: Why would I lie when the truth is more fun? *grins and finishes his coffee*
[00:53] Harvey: What do you want?
[01:00] Joker: What do I want, what do I want.... *laughs* I don't know! To have fun. I want to have fun. Everyone wants to have fun, don't they?

[01:02] Harvey: *leans against his chair and rubs his eyes* I need to go.
[01:02] Joker: No, stay. There's a great bar here. You and me can have some laughs.
[01:03] Harvey: Maybe I don't particularly feel like laughing right now.
[01:03] Joker: Why so serious? *grins*
[01:04] Harvey: *glares at him and stands up* Good/bye/.
[01:07] Joker: No hey, come back. *stands and grabs his hand*
[01:08] Harvey: *flinches and pulls away* Don't touch me.
[01:10] Joker: I did you a favour by telling you.
[01:11] Harvey: I still don't believe you. She's not dead.
[01:14] Joker: Then where is she?
[01:15] Harvey: She might turn up yet.
[01:18] Joker: But in what condition?
[01:19] Harvey: *looks away from him and doesn't answer*
[01:21] Joker: *pats his back gently* I'll give you time to get settled in. You think about who your friends are here.
[01:23] Harvey: I'm supposed to just - trust you? Is that it?
[01:31] Joker: .... yes. *nods and smiles*
[01:35] Harvey: Just like that. After everything you'd done.
[01:36] Joker: What have /I/ done? Me, personally. I was in /jail/ when you were driven away. I couldn't do a think!
[01:37] Harvey: But you set all of this up.
[01:38] Joker: You... *wags his finger* You can't prove that.
[01:38] Joker: I dare you to find one piece of evidence that said I planned for you to be driven away.
[01:39] Harvey: I'm not going to find anything /here/.
[01:39] Joker: Then you can't prove it.
[01:41] Harvey: *sinks back into his chair, tiredly* I don't want to argue.
[01:43] Joker: *rubs his shoulders gently* Sure you don't.
[01:48] Harvey: *is very very tense* Tell me something.
[01:49] Joker: Sure.
[01:50] Harvey: What did we talk about?
[01:53] Joker: In the hospital?
[01:53] Harvey: Yes.
[02:04] Joker: Anarchy. We talked about how the world thrives on order and how upset everyone gets when things don't go to plan. About how it's the schemers and the planners who are the ones who screw things up for people. And I. Never. Plan.
[02:05] Harvey: *after a few moments* I see.
[02:10] Joker: Now. *strokes his hair gently* What are you going to do?
[02:11] Harvey: *shudders* Could you - not do that?
[02:13] Joker: Why, it's kinda fun to play with? *ruffles it* You and my friend Jonny have /great/ hair. I can't do a thing with mine.
[02:17] Harvey: *twists around to catch his wrist* Jonny?
