I'm a huge nerd for all things history (American and Russian, primarily) and pretty into '80s/'90s nostalgia. I have no idea what I'm actually going to do with my life, but the chances are good that I'll end up living IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER, desperately peddling my YA manuscripts to the teenage hoodlums who hang out nearby smoking pot.
When I was 15 I met Carol Channing and she called me "darling." That was more or less the pinnacle of my life thus far.
I've had this LJ since I was in middle school and now I'm an actual grown-up person, so please, excuse the idiocy apparent in my earliest posts. I used to be a real jackass. I'm better now.
My favorite movie is Wet Hot American Summer, my favorite band is the Mountain Goats, and I am fiercely loyal to Saturday Night Live. Like Leslie Knope, I have a crush on Joe Biden, and I think waffles for dinner are just one element of a life lived well. If you have bad things to say about Jimmy Fallon or season four of Law & Order: SVU, take them elsewhere, bro. I'm also clearly one of those "Millennials" who define ourselves by the media we consume. Bully.
