[It's another lovely morning in Mayfield! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and one very confused Ramza Beoulve is wandering around his new home. This is not where he fell asleep last night. These are not his pajamas (though they are quite comfortable). His sword and armor are nowhere to be found. His sister is missing as well. Welp, this

With a sigh, he hangs the family portrait he'd been looking at back on the wall and turns around slowly. He was somewhat prepared for this encounter, fortunately, but that doesn't keep him from being at a complete loss as to what to say. Awkwarrrrrrd.]

In fact, it gives her quite a start at the resemblance. Though in place of his childish baby-fat, the Ramza-lookalike had more adult, handsome features. The blush was simply the heat in the room, Ramza, don't argue.
But then she relaxes. This can't be Ramza, he's sixteen! Even though he looks like him...He can't possibly...
So she smiles reassuringly instead. A common thing to do to newcomers here...since they're all quite rattled and confused.]
I am sorry if I startled you. You are new here, are you not?
Reply
[...Oh. Right. He's a bit older than she would remember. He was a bit taller, his hair was shorter, and he was a good deal more mature and wiser to the ways of the world than he'd been at sixteen. Still, he didn't think he had changed that much.
He opens and closes his mouth a few dozen times, trying to find the right words to say. It takes a while before he's able to speak.]
Teta. It is... good to see you again, despite the circumstances.

[Wait. Similar face. God, even his VOICE was similar. Could he be...?!
No, he couldn't...had she really been gone that long? Had she never come back in Ivalice, if it was him?! But it couldn't be! He...
She blinked a few times, and she opened her mouth once. Twice. Three times. Then finally...]
R-Ramza...?

The very same.

You...
[She steps closer, investigating his face.]
But you have grown so!
...!!!!
Have I...been gone from Ivalice that long? Or...could it be the town itself? Surely it would not...
...It has done much already. It should not be so unlikely that it could have sent an older man claiming to be Ramza in order to fool me.
...
[There was only one way to find out whether or not he was really Ramza. The town might know a lot about *HER*. But they wouldn't know much or anything at all about Delita. She had to ask him a question that only the real Ramza would know the answer to.
But what? What would...?
AHA!
Without a change in her expression, Teta decided to give him a test.]
Delita...is not with you, then? Is he...well? Has he still been wearing that blue armor of his?
[Obviously, Ramza would know that his armor was red. Not blue. A silly question, and maybe she was being a bit deceptive, but...]

[Hoping to avoid the issue, he trails off, at which point another point that he'd rather not discuss with her comes up: Delita. He raises an eyebrow at the question.]
Delita is... he is well. But, Teta, surely you remember -- his armor is red, not blue.

But...maybe he was Ramza.
Maybe...]
Yes, I...I am sorry. That was what I had meant to say. I am...I think I am simply feeling the shock of our reunion...
...
[It had to be him. But why wasn't he giving her any cohesive information? He just was simply brushing it off. Either he was hiding something from her, or, like her, there was too much shock. For now, at least, she would assume it was the latter.
Still, though...
She stepped closer, looking up at him.
..And then, here, Ramza. Have a big hug.]

He doesn't say anything; he just lets her cling to him for as long as she wants. Two months here by herself -- even if she was making friends here, it must have been lonely.]

I...I had hoped that you would not have to suffer through this place, Ramza.
Reply
You should not worry so, Teta. I can take care of myself -- and I will protect you from any dangers this place might throw at us.

She looks at him.]
You do not have to concern yourself with me. Despite...despite my appearance, I am...I am capable for caring for myself.
But I promise...I shall help the others all I can in allowing us safe passage home.
Reply
You needn't burden yourself with such things, Teta. It is only right that I protect you in Delita's stead.
We will find a way home, I'm sure of it.
Reply
Mayhap so...but I shall not stand aside whilst those I care for are being placed in the line of danger. I have...I have regained some of my healing talents, so I can be of assistance to others...and I know not of others who possess my skills.
I shall not throw myself in danger needlessly...so you need not worry.
[Yeah, Ramza? Um. Talk to Tifa about that 'throwing herself in danger needlessly' thing. Because um. Teta's done it before.]
