Actually, I read the Haruna part 2 times because I wanted to give a detailed answer... Only to realize that what you think is pretty much what I think!! Haruna's own traumas are never taken into consideration because he looks like a perfectly arrogant person who's too full of himself to have a problem, BUT HEY, JOCKS HAVE PROBLEMS TOO OKAY?! Except that Haruna isn't a jock but a cute little thing that fails at first crushes
I fully realized how deep his coach trauma was only when he brought it up again to Akimaru in the infamous 70-something chapters (OMG SO EXCITED THEY'RE GOING TO BE IN THE UPCOMING VOLUME). I mean, I thought it was pretty big to understand why he was that way with Abe, but during all the time we were left without any Musashino action (given that between the Kaguyan flashback and the current Nishiura storyline there was a one year gap) I just thought he played more like what Abe would have wanted, because HIGHSCHOOL BASEBALL IS SRSBZS and he wanted to get into Koushien. Instead he still has a fairly rigid pitch count around which the entire formation is chosen (this means he has his share of responsibility when things don't go really well, which he feels the weight of -> see the towel throwing). BUT I DIGRESS! My point is: Abe was really important to Haruna because he put up with him during the Dark Age and was even eager to be his catcher when Haruna just hated everyone and didn't want to ask anybody for their stupid catching services which he could do without if they were going to look at him in that way as if he was such a nuisance AND THEY JUST COULDN'T UNDERSTAND etc etc. IMO, Haruna had plenty of friends in the team (I think it's shown that he chatters with them just before going to laugh at Abe for his bruises?), but the coach (THANK GOD) was well aware that it was a bad idea to team him with anyone who had any more pride than a shorty first year like Abe HAHAHAHAHA. I'm digressing again. What did I want to say? I don't know any more. HARUNA IS CUTE! Akimaru pls to be taking responsibility for following until here NAO!

I am speechless at your ability to find Haruna in just about ANYTHING! LOLOL I don't think Kaguyan could be a nice cute Takemoto to Haruna. You are underestimating Kaguyan's pride as a senpai! (In canon, I think) He is holding back a lot on that front. I don't think their story could work for long because Kaguyan will never stop being envious despite himself. BUT THIS DOESN'T STOP ME FROM GREATLY ENJOYING THE CUTENESS THAT THEY ARE TOGETHER.
But let's go back to Honey&Clover...
Hagu's choice... I can't read Hagu's mind (LOL I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHO CAN!), but I don't think her final choice is all about the future and who would be able to allow her to be herself more freely, but a lot of it is about the present time. Morita is always away (by will or necessity - but I would say it's more the will part LOL THINK ABOUT THE OSCARS) and even though she could maybe get him to stay, that would be a horrible thing to do to his art, he's a free spirit like that and he shouldn't be stopped, at the same time, his life is not a life she feels she could live. What she needs is to take things slowly from where they were left. She isn't good with changes, but at the same time, she wants to learn more and learn new things. The man who can give this to her now, and the person who visited every single day at the hospital, is only Shuu-chan. BUT! I still don't think this is the only reason why she basically openly accepted his confession. The problem with Takemoto was that she didn't love him that way, right? Basically being together would be like making fun of him and she loved him too much to do that to him, right? So I don't think she would do that to Shuu-chan. ESPECIALLY not to her Shuu-chan. Which brings me to believe there *is* a little spark of attraction there somewhere, where she probably never realized there was. Maybe it's something dating back to Shuu-chan's high school days when he used to visit her and her grandma... Something that was later disguised as parental love because of the age difference. Uhm. So yep, I don't think they'll never have sex, it's too sad! Unless Hagu is really planning to use Shuuji only for rehab and then she'll elope with Morita when nobody expects it (WHICH IS CRAZY BUT IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME)
