The Wrong Fic -- Part II

Jan 13, 2006 22:20

Again, spoilers through the end of Season 5; mostly canon ships, etc., but everyone's pretty much not themselves (heh, which is not to say out of character, or so I hope . . .)

Thanks again to headrush100 for beta, britpicking, and encouragment. Any remaining whoopsies, particularly messing-up of this present-tense thing? All mine.

Dude, thanks -- but I think not. I mean, it's like eating one's own cooking, isn't it? Or something -- anyhow, yours does all kinds of stuff I can't do, and that I admire.

And, OMG, it's HR4! I'm so happy, you've no idea.

Oh, maybe I should tell you that over where you live . . .

Well, I said it all in the comment in part 1, but finish by sighing at the end of a wonderful story. I haven't particularly read Edna St. Vincent Millay, at least not more than in the passing as she's such a familiar name, but Dirge Without Music is a powerful poem and a perfect accompaniment to your story. Will definitely go on to read your other stories.

You really, really did say lovely things.

Glad to be able to pimp Millay; so far as I can tell, she and I have totally opposite personalities, and yet . . . every poem speaks to me.

Thanks again.

Such a true depiction of grief and slow recovery. Your story made me weep.
