LVRG's Hissy Fits will be heading to Rome, New York this coming Saturday to play CNY's Utica Clubbers. CNY (Central New York) is a WFTDA Apprentice league, too.
After our win against Gotham's (New York City's league) Meat Packing District, I'm reeeeeally hoping that our girls can keep it together for another win. It would be marvelous. I mean, even if we didn't win, but there was a negligible point margin... that would be fine, too.
One concern is that their floor is polished concrete, and ours is wood. Wonderful, grippy, doesn’t-hurt-like-concrete-when-you-fall-on-it wood. The only other time I’ve skated competitively on polish concrete was three years ago in Montréal, though I’ve improved quite a bit since then. It’s just so slippy. Soooooo slippy.
There was that polish concrete at Jersey Shore, too. That was WET and it's slick under normal conditions. How soon we forget...
Anywho.
