Suddenly, I feel like crap, emotionally speaking.

Which is stupid. Despite some frustration about certain things, I should be fine.

A good friend of mine from college is visiting Philadelphia from her home state of Georgia, and mostly because of work, I'm not sure I'll get to see her. It's been a few years, too, and a whole bunch of my friends are getting together on Sunday. :-(

...

Today, I have to finish my oversized overalls for School House, make a dog collar and big baby bib, stop at mom and Sam's house to let Sheba out and feed her, clean the cat litter, go to Brenda's, my stepmother with the broken ankle, to play nurse (and probably also clean the cat litter there). I was planning on dress rehearsal starting tomorrow, but apparently they only got through three or four songs in cue-to-cue this morning, so that might be bumped to Sunday.

I still need to actually design costumes for Spelling Bee.

Oh, I keep forgeting to pick up a receptical for compost in the back yard, since Jason started this new raw Vegan diet (he's still working on the no eggs part. heh.), and we've got all of these skins and stuff to compost with. Not that we've got any great amount of room in my postage stamp yard, but I hate sending that stuff to the landfill.

...

OH! AND I got lip from the guy painting the house next door. Our next door neighbors seem to not know how to take their garbage cans to their backyard after garbage pick-up, so they've been floating around in front of their house the past couple of days.

The guy painting the house (who could also be the landlord, for all I know) 'moved' them, and one of the positively RANCID cans was on its side, in front OUR house, partially blocking the already narrow sidewalk. In my haste to get in my car and get to work, I tossed the can and lid to the edge of the sidewalk, but in front of THEIR house. Not up against the fresh paint or anything, either. At first, I hadn't even realized the guy was there.

'I'm painting and I had to move them since they were up against the house,' he said

'Uh-huh,' I acknowledged, while not pointing out the fact that moving them to in front of OUR house and blocking the sidewalk was not the brightest idea anyone's ever had. It is also a finable citation, and since they were in front of our house, I didn't want to take any chances.

'You want attitude,' the guy started as I went to my car, 'I can give you attitude. No need to throw shit around.'

An impassive 'Okay,' was my answer, and I got into my car, since I'm certain that no matter what I said would have appeased him.

Anyway.
