They girls had returned to El Paso late Sunday afternoon and after showers and some fresh clothes had headed out to Mrs Wilson's to give her the good news. Well, the sort-of good news.
Mrs Wilson had insisted that the boys also hear the story. Momoko had offered to call, but Mrs Wilson waved that off. "No need, dear. They're in back; we just need to wait until they're done with the gutters. Now, if you two will tidy up a bit in here, I'll go make dinner."

Momoko snickered and passed the rice. "And after Dinah hit him again, he howled and screamed! I felt so bad for him. And we had to wait forever for him to be able to walk the rest of the way to the car."
Mrs Wilson sighed happily. "And then what?"
"Well, he kept complaining and struggling, refusing to get in. So Dinah suggested we tie him to the roof!"
